When you first consider starting a business, you might think about your product, prices, the market, potential customers, financing, and perhaps even the location of your factory, plant or offices, shipping and logistics routes. But do you also first think about your choice of jurisdiction? This can be one of the most important decisions a business can make yet it is little discussed and often quite misunderstood.
